I do certainly believe that conductors are wizards that may belong to a certain house at Hogwarts, learning to cast spells in order to either defend themselves, attack others, or pull pranks. While they don’t dress up like Dumbledore or Prof. McGonagall, I am still fairly convinced that they dress up as Muggles before showing off their powers back at Hogwarts. Conductors showing of their movements in public is weird but it doesn’t merit expulsion from Hogwarts.
Now why am I writing this as if making a connection to the Wizarding World to the podium? Well why not? Conductors have their batons, witches and wizards have their wands. Conductors have their patterns to show to the orchestra when performing, the Wizarding world have their spells. Dressing fancy? ABSOLUTELY ON POINT. Looking cool? YES. Trying to save a child from a nose-less dark lord? Uhm no. Music involving noses? We can go to Shostakovich for that —yes I will go down that route.
If Hagrid was trying to scout for a new talent, I am certain he would have said “YOU ARE A COMPOSER HARRY”. Oh wait,I mean “YOU ARE A WIZARD DMITRI”. Stalin as Voldemort is really scary if one thinks about it.
I mean LOOK AT THE SIMILARITY HERE. Don’t tell me that Hogwarts isn’t real when you see a side by side picture of Potter and Shostakovich:
Author’s note: It was his first time to watch the entirety of the Harry Potter franchise recently; he now has started reading the novels to enjoy the childhood he himself had suppressed —he thought it was cooler to read about the history of the Second World War and other aspects of military history than going down the wizarding world, a thought that OBVIOUSLY aged like milk.
